Farm-Raised Fish Given Tainted Food
The tainted Chinese ingredient that was incorporated into U.S. pet food and later made its way into chicken and pig feed was neither wheat gluten nor rice protein as advertised, but was seriously contaminated wheat flour, government investigators said yesterday.
‘Scuse the question, but why are we feeding wheat to fish? Also, is it really necessary to import something from the other side of the planet that we’re more than capable of growing ourselves?
Because poisoned food is cheaper! Cheap, cheap, cheap, gotta make the food cheaper, you know.
Yep, it’s all about profits. No big deal if they risk killing off the creatures that eat their product, right?
